Epitaph Records is set to release Punk-O-Rama DVD Voulme 1 on February 25th, and will include bonus and rare footage from Offspring, Rancid, NOFX, Pennywise, Bouncing Souls and Bad Religion, as well as 22 videos including such artists as Descendents, (International) Noise Conspiracy, Refused, Dropkick Murphys, and more, as well as interviews with Epitaph founder/ Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz, NOFX's Fat Mike and Fletcher from Pennywise. The Supersuckers will release a new album, Motherf---ers Be Trippin', on April 22nd on their own Mid-Fi label. Gary Glitter, who had been convicted on child pornography-related issues in the past, was deported from Cambodia after being detained for suspected sex offenses there, and has presumably fled to Thailand. Therapy? have secured a North American deal with Spitfire Records. Hard-core punk rockers Agnostic Front will line up a few US gigs in March with Hatebreed and Discipline, and will then begin writing and recording for a new album, to be released in 2004. Blaze will be in Moscow, Russia on January 25th, 2003 at the Luzhniki Small Sport Hall. Relapse Records ‘Contamination Festival’ will be January 18th and 19th at the Trocadero Theater in Philadelphia, PA. Vocalist James Hetfield (Metallica) is set to appear on I’ve Always Been Crazy: A Tribute to Waylon Jennings, which is due out in April. Poison The Well have been confirmed to perform on the main stage of this years ‘Warped Tour.’ Zakk Wylde will be appearing on the local Chicago show, 3 Guys Pickin' on Monday, January 13th at 10:30 PM – that’s cable channel 19 in the Chicago city limits ONLY. Zakk and Craig Nunenmacher will be performing "Spoke In The Wheel" and clips of the BLS show in Chicago last September will be shown. Lamb of God have completed the drum tracks for their upcoming album at Richmond VA's Montana studios with producer Devin Townsend (Strapping Young lad). Guitar, bass and vocals are currently tracking. Ten tracks are slated for inclusion on the as of yet, untitled release. The band, in association with Prosthetic Records, has estimated an April 2003 release window. Stephen Pearcy recently lensed a video for "In Like Pink," which is off his latest album, Social Intercourse. A video release party is being scheduled for early March in Los Angeles. Blind Guardian guitarist Marcus Siepen has posted the following message on their official web site: “We just finished our World Tour 2002 which you guys made the biggest and most successful tour in our history, thanks a lot! Next on the list [is] the upcoming festival-season in 2003, which is about to start in a couple of weeks, with a show in Barcelona and of course our new live-album. We’ll start working on this one in the middle of January, which means we’ll have to listen to tons of tapes to find out what recordings came out best… see you again next year.” Crowbar has begun the songwriting process for the next studio album, which the hope to release by the end of the year. As Down may tour again in 2003, it may be a busy year for guitarist Kirk Windstein, who pulls double-duty in both bands. Systematic -- which features in it’s ranks drummer Paul Bostpah (Slayer) – have begun mixing their second album, Pleasure to Burn with producer Howard Benson (Motorhead, Sepultura), and anticipate a late Spring release through Elektra. Purple Records will release another live Deep Purple album. It will be called Perks & Tit and it was recorded live in San Diego, CA on April 9th, 1974 (3 days after the classic "California Jam"). The album will include: “Burn,” “Might Just Take Your Life,” “Lay Down, Stay Down,” “Mistreated,” “Smoke On The Water” and Jon Lord solo. The album is to be released February 2003.
