Rock On Music Entertainment/Naked Dave's Concert Series brought the legendary LOUDNESS to Arizona's Club Red for a night of heavy metal nostalgia, but there was no whiff of the typical ho-hum greatest hits casino package. While the band did not need, nor rely, on any huge production elements for their entrance to the stage, they simply turned the amps up and laid in to Crazy Nights, Like Hell, Black Star Oblivion and Let It Go with the strength of teenage angst.

The Thursday night crowd was wound up during the entire set, and exploded during all the sing-a-long chorus' ("M-Z-A! M-Z-A!", obviously taking the loudest response). The set list was represented well from 1981's Street Woman, 1983's In the Mirror, 1984's Crazy Doctor as well as 1987's In My Dreams and S.D.I. The staple of the set was made up of Thunder in the East's classics, as well as Heavy Chains, We Could Be Together and Clockwork Toy. Skipping most of thier releases during the 90's that were only released in Japan unless reissues were done, the band represented 2014's The Sun Will Rise Again with the title track and Mortality.

Put simply, the band tore through the venue with a well rounded 14 song set that had no stale cobwebs whatsoever. If you have the chance to catch any of the below remaining dates, you will not be disappointed.

Remaining Dates:

  • 11/04 Oklahoma City, OK @ Thunder Alley
  • 11/05 Dallas, TX @ Gas Monkey Live
  • 11/06 San Antonio, TX @ The Korova
  • 11/07 Houston, TX @ Eastdown Warehouse
