Ozzy Osbourne has at last announced Jason Newsted as bassist, replacing Robert Trujillo.

Rumored: KISS and Aerosmith to co-headline a late summer tour. More details upon confirmation.

Danzig announces the latest addition to the band: guitarist Tommy Victor of Prong. The lineup now stands as follows: vocalist Glenn Danzig, guitarist Victor, bassist Jerry Montano (Deadlights) and drummer Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative). Danzig’s ‘Blackest of the Black’ tour, which includes Superjoint Ritual, Lacuna Coil, Opeth, Nile and Behemoth has announced two dates so far:

Guitarist Larry Tarnowski has recently parted ways with Iced Earth to “continue his studies.” A replacement is expected to be announced in the next few months.

The Rolling Stones have postponed their shows in Hong Kong (March 28th and 29th) due to a severe mystery illness that has recently rocked China.

Guitarist Head (Korn) and guitarist Mike Smith (ex-Snot) will join Limp Bizkit at their appearance in Seattle at WrestleMania XIX on March 30th.

Drummer Tommy Lee (ex-Motley Crue) just wrapped up an episode of Fastlane (on Fox) and is set to air on April 4th at 8 PM PST.

Bassist Nikki Sixx (Brides of Destruction, Motley Crue) will join Saliva onstage for a song or two at the House of Blues in Hollywood, CA on March 28th.

Brian Johnson, Angus Young and Malcom Young of AC/DC, along with Leslise West of Mountian, will host Metal Mania on VH1 Classic all weekend (North America).

Drummer Tia Sprocket has parted ways with Ministry, and will be replaced by Rey Washam (ex-Jesus Lizard).

In other Rob Zombie news, there will be an advance screening of his film, House Of 1000 Corpses at Bloor Cinema in Toronto, ONT on Friday, April 18th at 11:59pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 11th at the Bloor Cinema Box Office ($8 for non-members and $6 for members).

Demon are now confirmed for this years Sweden Rock Festival. Demon are headlining the festival on Friday, June 6th.

Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society) will perform the Nation Anthem at the LA Kings game for their season closing on Wednesday, April 2nd. Also, the episode of Angel (on the WB) that Zakk shot will premiere Wednesday, April 16th at 9pm. It is episode #19 titled ‘Magic Bullet.’

Before heading out on Lollapalooza, Queens Of The Stone Age will perform at the annual Coachella festival in California, and then tour with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Click here for tour dates.

Blind Guardian anticipate the release of their forthcoming double-disc live album on May 26th.

Lynch Mob recently filmed a DVD at the Key Club in Hollywood, CA and we will be back in the studio April 1st mixing the live show for release later in the year. Also, they will record some of them in April for a new album which they hope to have out by the end of the year. Lynch Mob are playing a one off show with RATT at the House of Blues in Hollywood, CA on April 4th and are in the planning stages of an East coast tour in mid May, followed by a possible Japanese tour in early July. In mid-July they will be hitting the road with Thin Lizzy for a 5 to 6 week tour across the U.S. Don't forget, the Revolution CD comes out on April 29th.

The rumor mill is cranking hard and strong on this one: a US co-headlining tour with Iron Maiden and Judas Priest with, yes, Rob Halford on vocals! Time will tell soon enough!

Danzig are confirming bands to join them on their “Blackest of the Black” tour, which will begin rolling in May. Currently tapped for the tour are: Superjoint Ritual, Immortal and The Haunted.

Speaking of The Haunted, they will be making an in store appearance at Utopia Records, 505-525 George St, Sydney, Australia, this Saturday afternoon at 4pm! Come down and get your stuff signed and say hello to the band before their gig later that night at the Metro Theatre!

Dew-Scented are ramping up for their next studio effort, which they hope to release by September, 2003, through Nuclear Blast Records.

Pissing Razors will perform a benefit show at Margarita's in El Paso on April 6th, in memory of a close friend of the band’s brother who lost his life in a motorcycle accident last year. The show is all ages and will be outside in the clubs parking lot. Additionally, the band will tour in support of their current album, Live in the Devil's Triangle. The band will be hitting the road April 12th, supported by 40 Grit and Society 1.

Sevendust will begin a short tour in April, and will juggle openers TRUSTcompany, Project 86 and Finger Eleven.

Guitarist Marty Friedman (ex-Megadeth) is set to release his solo album, Music For Speeding, on May 20th through Favored Nations.

Sepultura are getting ready to release their latest effort, Roorback, in May through SPV/Steamhammer in Europe.
