Audioslave Live at First Ave.

70 minute show, a bit short for $30, but hey, I'll take it.
The band was tight as expected and Chris sounded great in my opinion. It was really nice to see Tom pull off all the effects from the album in a live setting. Anyone can sound cool in a studio with a shit load of equipment to fix their screw ups, but Tom can pull it off on a stage with out any "re-dos". Chris was in a good mood it seemed -- did some ripping on the Grammys and all that is involved with that. He said they'd rather be here than on the red carpet with all the "dead looking people" at the Grammys. After bending the hell out of one of his mic stands, he was attempting to straighten it out when a roadie brought him a new one. He then said "I was gonna fix it" with a goofy grin on his face. (I found that humorous, so I threw it in here.)
Final thought, if you like THIS band, you will have a good time, although the 70 minute set will probably leave you wanting more. If you are expecting Chris to come out and sing “Bulls on Parade,” you'll be highly disappointed. If you are expecting ZDLR to show up halfway through the show and boot Chris off the stage -- you might as well stay home. Rage is done for now. They may come back later, stranger things have happened. But for now, enjoy what we have. This is the best damn hard rock band in a LONG fuckin’ time. As Chris said last night after the (unnecessary) introductions of the band... “We are Audioslave and this is what we do and we're going to be doing it for a long time to come.”
Can't wait for them to come back to the "Land of 10,000 hockey rinks."

MN show as well)
