For those who couldn't make it to the BRAND NEW SIN Raleigh show last night, one word... unforgettable. All the stars must have been in line, and if it never happens again, or I can never hear, see, or feel again, I will always remember I was there. From opening to close the band's energy swept the crowd like a nuclear blast. You had no choice but to feel the raw energy that passed through the crowd.
It was amazing to see them just 4 days earlier, in Jester's Pub, on a small 12x12 stage. I mean it was the size of most people's living room, but it never seemed to stop them. I went to see Clutch but left in a Brand New Sin state of mind.
What was really spectacular about last night is the energy that the band had. It's amazing watching these 6 guys rock. If they do it in your town like they did it here in Raleigh, you end up like me today, hoarse, sore, and damn proud.
All in all what can I say? Well, afterwards a friend did an interview with the band. These guys are really great. Friendly human, everyday people like us who enjoy putting on a show as much as I love going to them. Thank you guys for starting here, it was a pleasure to hear every minute of your show. And when people ask me 2 years from now where was I on March 03, 2003 I can look them in the eye cock my head and grin.
Oh sweet rock 'n roll, bring me home, bring me home.
