For Immediate Release:
ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY PART WAYS WITH VOCALIST; BEGIN SEARCH FOR NEW SINGER
Alabama Thunderpussy has amicably parted ways with vocalist Johnny Throckmorton. Throckmorton was a member of Alabama Thunderpussy since its inception over six years ago.
"As the saying goes, you can't stop the rock, so we're looking for a new vocalist." comments ATP guitarist Erik Larson. "Any high-energy vocalist with good range, power, and flexibility interested in working hard, playing hard, traveling a lot, and having a great time should contact us at [email protected] or via our label (Relapse Records @ relapse.com)."
Larson concludes, "Don't bother if you're a slacker, are only interested in partying, don't want to live in Richmond, Virginia, or have delusions of grandeur because this band will be your life."
While the vocal search commences, Alabama Thunderpussy will continue writing material for its next full-length. The remaining quartet (Larson, guitarist Ryan Lake, bassist John Peters, and Drummer Bryan Cox) have 9 songs complete currently and several more in the works. Additionally, Alabama Thunderpussy recently had their second
full-length Constellation re-issued (re-mastered, with new packaging and two bonus tracks) via Relapse in March.
Additional Alabama Thunderpussy information will be made available via the ATP website: www.ALABAMATHUNDERPUSSY.com and the Relapse Records website: www.RELAPSE.com.
"Indeed, for all the hype surrounding Down, Alabama Thunderpussy are harder, meaner and more fun to listen to...like a concoction of Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Motorhead" - KNAC.COM
