Jackyl Live at the Northern Li

Unfortunately there was a low turnout for the show. There were maybe 300 people in a club that could hold over 1000. (I saw Judas Priest there a few months ago and the place was packed) Regardless the band kicked major ass.
Three local bands opened who were all decent, but only accomplished making the wait that much longer.
Jackyl finally hit the stage at around 10:30 and played a 90 min set of blistering southern hard rock. I've seen Jackyl before as an opener and as part of a larger festival, but it is much better seeing them on there own when they are not limited to time restraints.
Some highlights include: During "Billy Badass" Jesse James brought out his new guitar (basically a custom guitar with a chainsaw sticking out of it). Just before the encore the band passed out beer to the audience to share in a toast. Finally Jesse destroyed the obligatory stool with the chainsaw and passed the pieces out to the crowd during "The Lumberjack."
After the show the entire band stuck around to sign autographs and have pictures taken with fans, and were very gracious (how many bands can you say that about).
If Jackyl comes to your area, definitely check them out. They put on a kick ass show and genuinely appreciate their fans.
Setlist, in absolutely no particular order:
