Vince Neil Live at the Univers

Vince Neil hit the stage after 8:30, Thursday night in LA, and all I have to say is "AWESOME!" From the opening riff of “Live Wire” to the ending of “Kickstart My Heart,” the energy level was incredible.
Vince Neil came to the Universal to do one thing, and that was kick ass. The place was full when Vince hit the stage, and everyone was on their feet pumping their fists in the air and having a good time. If you have never seen Motley Crue before, seeing Vince is just as good. He knows what the fans want - old Motley – and he delivers.
He told the crowd after the first two songs that we were gonna hear songs that we probably haven't heard in a while. As the show went on, the place was jumping. Vince had the energy of a 25-year-old that night. He sounded great and his band was also great. The guitar player, whose name I cannot remember, was awesome. He played all the Motley songs to perfection.
After jamming one hit after another, Vince did a solo song. The crowd seemed to slow down a bit, but after that they were all back to rockin, especially when Vince jammed out another Motley classic. Too bad he was the opening act, because when he said goodnight I wasn't ready for it to end. I could have easily enjoyed another hour. Vince should be the headliner for this tour, because by far, he is blowing away Skid Row and Poison.
After saying goodnight, the crowd was chanting "One more song! One more song!"
Well, we got two more songs. I don't ever recall being at a show where the opener did an encore.
As far as I am concerned, Vince Neil doesn't need Motley Crue. Motley Crue needs Vince Neil. Vince looks like he's happier than ever. If you get a chance to see Vince this summer, do not pass it up, especially if you are a Motley fan. If you want to hear Motley Crue songs live, this is probably the only way you are gonna hear it. This show was the best I've seen all year!
