Poison/Vince Neil/Skid Row Live in Dallas

||Poison, Vince Neil and Skid Ro|
Skid Row came on first. I really didn't know what to expect from them without ‘Baz. They played songs from Slave to the Grind, Skid Row and two new songs from their records that will be coming out August 5th, Thickskin and New Generation. Both songs were really good. New singer Johnny Solinger [formerly of Dallas, Texas' band Solinger] made everyone forget the “Baz” real quick -- which is saying alot! Mr. Solinger worked the crowd well and even went deep into the crowd to sing -- everyone went nuts!
Vince Neil… Boy, I really hate to do this -- I've always been a HUGE Motley Crue fan but -- Vince and his band pretty much sucked. Vince didn't sing the words to most the songs and kinda acted as if he wished he was home on his couch with a bag of chips. His bass player, whoever he was, put more into trying to look like Nikki Sixx than learning how to play. He totally screwed up on the song “Girls,Girls,Girls.” Sad to say, but they were disappointing to say the least. I hope for Vince's sake he hasn't lost Nikki Sixx's phone number.
Which brings me to Poison. I have to admit, I was never much of a Poison fan but to their credit, they played their asses off and put on a truly killer show!! I was very impressed with their energy. Those guys acted as if they really did want to be there and it showed. They never slowed down for a minute -- true Poison fans were very happy! They might want to consider sending Vince and his bar band home and give Skid Row more time to play.
