Album will be out this year in Japan and licensed around the world after. I have too many things going on to tour unless album takes off. Love the band, love the music. God bless rock n roll… SIXX.” The Black Dahlia Murder guitarist Brian Eschbach gives the following update: "We pulled off the Soilent Green tour because Dave [Lock] (bass player) quit the band. We're currently practicing with our new bassist Joe Boccuto (Set Ablaze). The rumors about us breaking up are definitely not true... there are just some changes being made. We'll be hitting the road again on the 25th to join Arch Enemy on the ‘Anthems of Rebellion’ tour. We apologize for all of the cancelled shows on the Soilent Green tour. Make sure to check us out with Arch Enemy and Hate Eternal!" The soundtrack for the movie Underworld, out in theaters on September 19th, has been produced by Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails), who produced such soundtracks as Lost Highway and Natural Born Killers. The album will feature exclusive and remixed tracks, and will feature the following artists: Manyard James Keenan and Josh Freese (Perfect Circle), Wes Borland (ex-Limp Bizkit), David Bowie, John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Skinny Puppy, Dillinger Escape Plan, TRUSTcompany and Finch, along with Lohner. This show is for Queen fan club members only. Check out TOJonline.com for more details. Fred Durst cut Limp Bizkit’s set short last week at their gig at the Hawthorne Racetrack in Chicago, IL. During their set on Metallica’s ‘Summer Sanitarium’ tour, the vocalist dodged numerous flying objects and a flurry of “boo’s” from the crowd. After exchanging vulgar barbs with the audience, the singer walked off the stage after only six songs. A the following show in Minneapolis, they found a more receptive audience. Suicidal Tendencies vocalist Mike Muir gets discovered by the Discovery Channel! Muir has begun filming an episode of Discovery’s Monster House in which they will transform his place in some crazy way. The episode is slated to run sometime during the week of Halloween. Pissing Razors now consists of drummer Eddie Garcia and bassist Rick Vallez, and newest members, guitarist Matt Difabio (Single Bullet Theory) and vocalist Andre Acosta, local in the El Paso, TX music scene. Marilyn Manson will keep right on touring after Ozzfest is finished. They will head over to Australia for several gigs, then Japan and then to Europe. There are also a couple of off-dates during Ozzfest, so be sure to check out MarilynManson.com. Monster Magnet have found a new home with SPV/Steamhammer. From USAToday.com: The Recording Industry Association of America has filed more than 871 federal subpoenas against computer users suspected of illegally trading music files over the Internet, and it plans to file several hundred lawsuits during the next eight weeks. Artists with songs being illegally traded included Avril Lavigne, Snoop Dogg and Michael Jackson. In response, a group called Boycott-RIAA plans phone campaigns and local protests August 1st and 2nd. Meanwhile, new versions of Kazaa K++ and Kazaa Lite software claim to block RIAA from accessing users information. Ozzy Osbourne and family have inked a deal with MTV for 20 more episodes of The Osbournes, which will begin airing sometime early next year. Tommy Lee will be featured in a new ad campaign for Buy.com, for a service that will compete with Apple’s iTunes. Led Zeppelin tribute band Hammer of the Gods will appear at the Montreal Jazz Festival on November 7th. Hammer of the Gods features: Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Paul Gilbert (ex-Racer X, ex-Mr. Big), Dave LaRue (ex-Dixie Dregs) and Daniel Gildenlow (Pain of Salvation). There is a possibility of a public “warm up” gig prior to the event.
