Adler's Appetite Live in Milan By Tokemaster General, Contributor Monday, January 19, 2004 @ 8:25 AM
What a sleazy night in Milano!
Adler's Appetite played at the Indian Saloon, which is a nice place to see a live band (except for the horrible sound) -- it was packed, 500 die-hard Guns n' Roses fans made it a sell out.
They kicked off at midnight with “Welcome to the Jungle” and the crowd went nuts. The set-list was the whole Appetite for Destruction album (plus a pair of songs from Lies and one AD/DC cover). It seems like being in LA in the eighties -- Adler is still a hammer, incredible drummer, the rest of the band is a mix of old and new LA glam scene: Kerri Kelli of LA Guns & Warrant fame on lead guitar, who played every song to
perfection, Brent Muscat of Faster Pussycat fame on rhythm guitar, Robbie Crane of Ratt fame on bass and the great Jizzy Pearl of Love/Hate and Ratt fame on lead vocals.
The guys on stage were having fun, the audience was pumped up and singing along to every Guns n' Roses song… the intense energy of Adler's drumming and the incredible voice of Jizzy were the highlights. Mr. Pearl is even better than the old Mr. Axl "where am I" Rose...
The band played with a lot of heart and soul, were entertaining -- it was just a hell of a show! The set was about 70 minutes, for their encore, they played a killer version
of “Sin City” and, of course, “Paradise City” was the perfect way to end the show. Thanks to Mr. Adler, we were pulled back in the glorious days of old rock and roll; not the original GNR, but still awesome nonetheless!
The songs they played were:
