Tesla performed a special acoustic show at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston, March 3rd, sponsored by radio Boston radio station WAAF with Jeff Keith on vocals, Tommy Scheoch on guitar, and Frank Hannon on guitar. The show was a special promotion for the band to introduce to the public itís new CD entitled Into the Now, which will be released Tuesday, March 9th on Sanctuary Records. The band kicked off itís world tour in Philly the nite before at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Tesla hit the stage around 9 p.m and the audience was on their feet dancing and singing from start to finish. The band opened the show with their new bluesy song, "Into the Now," with lyrics that bring the band and its new audience Into the Now. Tesla played their hit "Signs" and then went into their new single entitled ďCaught In A Dream.Ē The song had haunting melodies and nice chord changes, reminiscent of the early Tesla trademark.

You could tell the band was having a great time playing live again. Jeff Keith has an amazing voice that went through many emotions and was very energetic onstage. The energy of the acoustic trio was amazing. It was a magical night with the band and audience in this special acoustic setting. The Hard Rock Cafe in Boston is a great place to see a band perform and has a very friendly atmosphere. Jeff Keith says, "I remember playing the Channel in Boston -- I love Boston's energy."

The band played another tune off their new CD entitled "Words Canít Explain" and then rocked hard on "Stir It Up."

The highlight of the evening came when Tommy Scheoch yells to the audience, "GO Patriots!" and "Yankees Suck!" Everyone went wild. Jeff Keith then put on a Patriots shirt, number 37, and sang with it on the rest of the night. I thought that was so cool.

The band played over an hour and ended the show with "Love Song" and "Modern Cowboy." The energy of the band was amazing. Tesla did a meet and greet after the show and signed autographs late into the night. The audience was a mixture of its old school fans, plus a new younger audience seeing them for the first time tonight. Tesla definitely brought itís fans "Into the Now" with their new songs and attitude. For further tour dates check out www.teslatheband.com.
