Shadows Fall Announce More US Tour Dates By Sefany Jones, Contributing Editor Wednesday, September 1, 2004 @ 9:58 AM
Brian Fair (vocals) checks in with the following tour wrap-up:
“Hey y'all. Relaxing at home in Boston watchin’ the Red Sox recovering from another amazing tour. The Strhess Tour was a great time with some killer bands. I would like to thank all the guys and crews from As I Lay Dying, Himsa and Remembering Never for making it such a success and also to Derek Hess for his support and all the sick clothing. On a much less pleasant note, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Michael Savasta who passed away at our show in St. Petersburg, FL. This was a tragic loss that affected all of the bands and everyone in attendance very deeply. May you rest in peace my brother.
“We would also like to thank everyone that came out to support these shows, helping us to sell out nearly all of the venues we played!! The fact that the shows were mostly in cities that we had either never played or had not played in years made it that much more exciting. I was really excited to be back onstage in the U.S. and to have a chance to preview a few new songs from the upcoming album The War Within. The response to the three new songs we played, "The Power Of I And I," "Act Of Contrition" and "What Drives The Weak" was overwhelming. I can't wait till Sept. 21st when the new record hits the streets and everyone can rock out to the new jams.
“We will be hitting the road again very soon for some dates with Candiria, All That Remains and Full Blown Chaos to promote the release of The War Within.
Hope to see ya at the shows. Bottoms up.”
