Check out the brand new video by Canadian hard rock legend Thor the Rock Warrior. The song is called “Glimmer” is the lead track off Thor’s new album, Thor Against the World, available on Smog Veil Records on July 6. The album is a return to Thor’s roots, straddling the glitter rock sound he helped popularize in the late ‘70s and the more metallic sounds he became infamous for in the ‘80s. "Glimmer" is also featured in the upcoming USA Network TV movie Murder at the Presidio, starring Lou Diamond Phillips and Jason Priestly, both of whom make cameos in the raucous clip.

Agree with most here Thor has never been hot. Only listened to his early stuff because I knew Steve Price. Now that Stevie boy, not only is he one of the best undiscovered true guitarist in the world, he sure knew how to make people laugh. I kinda always wished when Steve was playing in Common Market they would have hit, I remember when we was hitting the club scenes "Steve" always blew the audiance away with his playing, people wouldnt stop yakking to me for a minute about him. Steve if you see this, wishing you the best, your old friend Mike Nakis. P.S. if you wanna get in touch Tell Jack to tell Helene in NY. lol,

Sounds like Billy Idol. And not in a good way!

Man.WTF.I have to say WTF a million times.I can say what the other people say. This to me is like a disgrace to metal. It sounds like a depressing song gone happy or like disco metal(whatever that is,but that's what it reminds me of),lalala bullshit.WTF man.THOR?If you are seeing these messages.Do us a favor, and stop. You don't deserve to be a metal star. You're a disgrace....If you want to do metal.Atleast make some kind of effort into doing it.Back up singers, and ghetto depressing happiness will not go far. This isn't the disco era now.Atleast when Billy Idol made a come back,it was decent.

oh, i forgot.someone said earlier "the show was great ,he bent an iron bar with his teeth". if you prefer the circus than good metal music ,i guess the show is for you.

rahan61 - 6/3/2005 9:19:16 AM
are you guys joking or what??? i've just watch the video. this is so hilarious,so cheap, so no talent!!! this is why guys like ac/dc, priest, motorhead, and maiden are such big stars, because they have talent. this is why most of you guys never heard of that THOR.i feel like i was watching an 80's video,a mix between huey lewis and billy idol and little steroids. guys, you have to be honest,it was a joke.thats the reason why people make fun of metal. anyway that thing is not metal..

My God! This is just awful. It´s crap like this that makes me think that rock is dead...

toddzzilla - 5/26/2005 4:42:40 PM
i been into metal from the start.....who the hell is this guy?...is this like some kind of novelty band or something?...is he trying to comepete with manowar?

webmeister - 5/18/2005 8:15:41 PM
I like good, fun music as much as the next person, but can I get the 3 minutes I spent watching this video back? Nothing remotely original about the song, and Thor has minimal vocal range/ability. Also, several spots in the video weren't lit very well and the screen was just black. I don't have anything against the guy since this is the only song I've ever heard from him, but if this is the best thing he's done in years, as someone else said, I really don't hold out much hope for him....

misterbean - 5/13/2005 2:48:21 AM
Yeah... yeah... Much like what my grand father use to listen... And guess what?! He's dead!!! You rock! whatever my grand father use to listen to!!!

Is he really an Alien?

zipmus - 5/1/2005 11:41:01 AM
I saw THOR at the Pacific Coliseum in front of 10,000 fans and at this show at the Knitting Factory, THOR was also very intimate and personable with the large crowd. I did some research and found that THOR did perform at many big venues and concerts such as the Great Yarmouth festival with Motorhead, The Lyceum in London with W.A.S.P.. THOR also headlined the Hammersmith Odeon in London and the Civic Arena and Maple Leaf Gardens in Canada. THOR has Rocked The Cities and many venues in his long reign throughout the USA, Canada and Europe. HAIL THOR!!! HAIL THOR!!!!

THOR! Congratulations on the greatest show I have ever seen. The show you put on in LA was spectacular. The place was jammed packed with screaming fans. I have seen every major band from the 90's on and you are #1!

ENGELDOG - 4/29/2005 3:01:08 PM
