Spitfire Records will release a 23-song double disc Black Label Society compilation entitled "Kings Of Damnation Era '98 - '04" on October 4th.
The Best of Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society is a look at the evolution of Zakk Wylde’s progression as a musician, beginning from his solo venture with Pride & Glory and Book Of Shadows, leading up to his final album for Spitfire, Hangover Music Volume VI.
The package includes rare and previously unreleased acoustic versions of several Zakk Wylde favorites. Two tracks ("Spoke In The Wheel" and "Bridge To Cross) are acoustic takes that were recorded in the UK. The hit "Stillborn" and "The Blessed Hellride" both get the acoustic treatment from his mini Slightly Amped tour of radio stations, while in support of The Blessed Hellride album.
Disc two features unique takes on a number of well-known songs, including Procol Harum's "Whiter Shade Of Pale", The Beatles’ "Come Together", and Neil Young's "Heart Of Gold".
