Chris Webb sent us this letter describing his situation and his #1 metal wish to meet Iron Maiden. A link to his petition is at the bottom of the page.

Here's his letter:

Hello,

My name is Chris Webb and I have been a patient at the New England Sinai Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton Massachusetts since August 14th, 1990. I rely on a ventilator to breathe due to having been born with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which is a muscle wasting disease. It is not by choice that I live here, but it is necessary because of the state that Medicaid is in as far as providing appropriate home based care goes. Despite the fact that I live in a hospital, I do manage to get out every now and then to catch a metal show.

I have been a HUGE fan of Iron Maiden since 1983 and have faithfully listened to them for the past 22 years. I had the fortune of seeing them in concert twice, once on the Seventh Son tour and again on the Brave New World tour. Both shows were completely amazing and ever since the first show I went to in '88, I have wanted to meet them, but never had the opportunity to.

I started a thread on the Iron Maiden Bulletin Board on their official webpage about my dream to have the band visit me in the hospital at some point. The response and support from fellow Maiden fans has been unbelievable.

I do not know if it has caught the attention of anybody in the Iron Maiden camp yet, but I keep my fingers crossed hoping it eventually will. To increase the chances that my dream will become reality, I have decided to get the word out to the metal community in general. I need your help to accomplish my goal of having Iron Maiden visit me in the hospital. My inspiration to start this petition came from reading about Todd Arnold who had the dream to meet Motley Crue, which came true. Please show your support to help my dream come to pass.

Peace,

-Chris

Should be safe. He shouldn't have any eggs in the hospital. Hope he gets his wish. That must be a bitch living in a hospital for 15 years. At least he's made it to a few shows. I wish you the best man.
