Blobber - 3/6/2006 8:29:37 AM
Speaking of vibrato, doe the stale, ancient, 1-note shit B.B. King's been passing off as talent bother anybody but me? I'd rather he whipped out a dildo and did a duet with Bono called "When Dode Comes to Town".

I've read some great reviews of them live. They seem to pull it off from what is reported. I'll be curious to see them here in the States. Yes the lyrics are a little cheesball, I even hear a little Bon Jovi in the vocal melodies. The latest album is 90% the speed stuff. There's some live material on the website too.

judasbishop - 3/5/2006 11:45:49 PM
insightful...thanks

Mummyman - 3/5/2006 9:08:07 PM
Judas: I'd suggest going to their site and check out a free sample. Personally I think the combination of the hyper speed guitar playing and the high vocal vibrato it makes them sound like a Blind Guardian record played at the wrong speed. It's a little too much flash for flash sakes in my mind. It's like they want to kill you with technique and showmanship, like Dream Theater with a lesser drummer & vocalist. It's grooveless to me, if I wanted a guitar clinic i'd go to one is what I think when I hear them.

judasbishop - 3/5/2006 8:47:33 PM
i dont mind vibrato...is he in key? on time? high low?

Mummyman - 3/5/2006 8:09:57 PM
I agree with DJWill, Not to mention the guitar playing- I'm not a musician and while the guy can play the hell out of a guitar I doubt he plays at this speed without some embellishment. Beyond that I don't care for the knights & maidens D&D lyrical style personally and the singers voice is annoying- too much vibrato- he's what really kills it for me.

heathenelz - 3/5/2006 5:42:34 PM
Doesn't Marky Mark sing for these guys?

Blobber - 3/5/2006 5:24:31 PM
I had a horrible dream last night about having fucking tapeworms coming out my ass. Then I woke up with my ass covered in blood and my hands bloddied and poopy...rhoids again!

judasbishop - 3/5/2006 12:15:24 PM
someone tell me how the singer is. i've heard the music is great

Totems - 3/5/2006 8:30:16 AM
Or drug infested singers

Totems - 3/5/2006 8:29:30 AM
Cobain you wont like them know baggy pants or down tuned guitars.

djwill - 3/4/2006 8:09:33 PM
Major abuse of the drum trigger in the studio..the plan is to see if it can be duplicated live.
