Mega-rockers Megadeth are set to release their first ever live album, Rude Awakening. Their 24-track, double-disc CD will be available on Mar. 19th.
Recorded during their 10-month long “The World Needs A Hero World Tour” in 2001, the album covers the band's entire history and includes classic album tracks, hit singles, rare tracks and fan favorites. Actually, the fans chose the set lists for the tour by means of a poll on the band's official web site Megadeth.com.
The striking artwork (of a man in bed, falling down the side of a skyscraper) for the album was created by Storm Thorgerson, who is best known for his Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin album covers.
A live DVD will follow on April 9th.
