Aerosmith won't release a new album by mid-year as planned, according to a post at aeroforceone.com by bassist Tom Hamilton, who wrote, "We've got a busy year coming up. After the European tour...we take a short break and then go back into the studio."

The band currently has European shows lined up through the end of June, as well as a date in Sarnia, Ontario, on July 19th, so a release before the fall seems highly unlikely. Aerosmith originally intended to record last year, but was unable to get that together before embarking on a tour with Motley Crue.

Hamilton added, "We haven't done a new album in a while, and we really feel enthusiastic about showing everybody what's on our musical mind."

Hamilton also took time to thank Aerosmith fans who helped him deal with the aftermath of his throat cancer treatments, which kept him off the road last year.

The bassist was declared cancer-free in November. He wrote, "It feels really good to be up and running and looking forward to going on the road."

Before they head to Europe, Aerosmith will tour South America in April with Velvet Revolver.

I don't know 'bout these dudes, anymore. One of my hun's lil' sisters paid $150 to see 'em @Las Vegas. Crap! I wouldn't pay more than 40 bux to see 'em. Heck! I wouldn't pay anything. I'll let whomever is taking me pay. Hmph! O:-)

My only question is.........why ? dont do it guys you have ruined your legend enough allready...done with mirrors was the last decent stuff ya put out..on drugs i might add.
