  • What's been predicted is coming true. Viacom is suing YouTube and parent company Google for a billion dollars. The parent company of M-T-V and other cable outlets claim YouTube has posted more than 160-thousand copyrighted segments from its shows.

  • Bassist Pete Agnew from Scottish rock legends Nazereth: "Dan (McCafferty - vocals) and I have been out in Switzerland recently looking at a studio and had meetings with the company who want us to record the new album out there, so we have fixed the recording date for September / October 2007. I know that all of you have been getting a bit frustrated with us keeping saying 'next year,' but we feel pretty confident that this is going to happen. 'And about time too' you all say. We all thank you for your patience on this one." Nazareth's last studio album was 1998's Boogaloo.

  • Satyricon has issued the following announcement:

"New Blood Wanted! We are looking to recruit a rhythm guitar player and a bass player for our live band, with immediate effect. You are a skilled musician with some touring experience. Your age is of no big concern, if you are good enough, you are good enugh. However, you need to be relentlessly hungry and ambitious in your work with Satyricon. Satyricon is during touring cycles, a very time consuming effort and Satyricon would be your number one musical priority. If you do not wish to re-locate to Oslo or nearby, you will have to travel and be available for rehearsal in Oslo whenever called upon. We will consider candidates from anywhere in the world. If you think you have what it takes, you will be invited to come jam with Satyricon in Oslo as soon as possible. When e-mailing us, take your time to tell us a little bit about your musical background as a player and as a fan. Also include some information about your age, where you live, what you do etc. This is your chance - take it! E-mail us at musician@satyricon.no
