Sanctity Hit North America with Black Tyranny Tour By Newsferatu, Writer Wednesday, September 5, 2007 @ 2:12 PM
North Carolina thrashers Sanctity are gearing up to conquer the road again. After a successful run with respected progressive metallers Symphony X, the band is cranking the volume up to 11 and heading out on the Black Tyranny Tour. The tour will feature headliners Machine Head and Arch Enemy, as well as Throwdown. Sanctity front man Jared MacEachern will also be taking over backing vocal duties for label-mates Machine Head throughout the tour, filling in for injured bassist Adam Duce. "We're really stoked to have found a guy as killer as Jared to help us through this situation," commented Machine Head drummer Dave McClain. Kicking off on September 7th in California, the month long tour is poised to deliver Sanctity as a seasoned brand of thrash to welcoming audiences.
Sanctity recently shot a video for their upcoming single “Beloved Killer” with director Ramon Boutviseth (Seemless, Daylight Dies) in their home town of Asheville, North Carolina. Boutviseth has directed two of the band’s previous videos, for “Zeppo” and “Beneath The Machine.” The video for “Beloved Killer” is set to premiere on September 6.
Metal Maniacs magazine has praised the band for offering a “modern twist on old-school thrash,” standing amongst an elite few American bands spearheading the modern thrash revival. Come see their trailblazing thrash explosion on the Black Tyranny Tour!
Sanctity’s Roadrunner debut album Road To Bloodshed is out now.
