Horror High, LLC has announced the US release date for Wednesday 13's Weirdo-A-Go-Go as February 5th, 2008. This will be Horror High, LLC's first release distributed by Caroline/EMI since their exclusive distro deal was signed.
Twisted Sister and former Anthrax singer Joey Belladonna have scheduled a live date in New York City, NY on December 21st at The Filmore New York/Irving Plaza. Tickets are $42.50 advance/$45 day-of-show. Baptized By Fire is also on the bill. Twisted Sister's A Twisted Christmas Live DVD is out on now via Razor & Tie.
Exclusively sold only through the Nuclear Blast European Mailorder website, a special version of Edodus' The Atrocity Exhibition - Exhibit A will be strictly limited to 500 numbered copies and features: Special Blood Dripping Packaging (Packaging is the size of a DVD case), hidden bonus track and Numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Rush scored the 6th highest US tour gross of the summer with $21 million, third among rock acts, according to USA Today. Over 38 shows, Rush had an attendance of 399,000 with 67% of seats filled. They quote Billboard's tour analyst, Ray Waddell, as saying, "Rush is a thrilling live band. Their fans know this, and their reputation keeps spreading to new generations." The release date for Vader's new live DVD, And Blood Was Shed In Warsaw, has bumped back to November 20th in North America via MVD. The DVD is still scheduled for release on October 15th in Europe. The DVD features the footage from the band's concert at Stodola Club in February 2007, which was the final stop of the tour promoting their latest album Impressions In Blood. The show was filmed with seven cameras offering what the bands' press release characterizes as, "A truly amazing recording with great lights and dynamic shots - over 80 min. of brutal, fast, uncompromising death metal."
Los Angeles Murderfest 4.0 is being held Saturday, April 5th and Sunday, April 6th, 2008 at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, CA. According to organizers, "2 stages + 2 days = Total Brutality.
