Drowning Pool have issued an updated statement regarding the recent on-air remarks by Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly in which he apparently claimed that he is one of only two "celebrities" to support the troops via the USO.

"I have chewed on this whole Bill O'Reilly-blasting-the-USO subject for some time now trying to decide what aspect of this jackass's empty rants I wanted to shoot holes in first," reads the first post on the band’s MySpace page. "What I have finally realized is that it's pointless to even start on this and point out every single shithead aspect of this self-promoting, self-righteous poster child for birth control.”

The post continues, "He blasts the USO. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? The only reason this shithead even went over was to promote his new book. If you have the time, go to YouTube and search 'Keith Olberman USO Bill O'Reilly' and hear the facts. Please do. I'm not even going on any more with this. The fact is O'Reilly thinks he is above the truth and you can't argue with that kind of a person. Here is a group like the USO that for years upon years have given of themselves to do good by others that put themselves in harms way in the name of OUR country and this shithead decides he can just say what he wants and stack lie upon lie and attack anyone he wishes.”

There’s more: "So to Billdoe and his mindless sheep of an audience, go fuck yourself. You are a true waste of air..."To wrap this up, I would like to say one last thing. You're such a true patriot, Bill, aren't you? So supportive of our troops, eh? That must be why you ignored the ThisIsForTheSoldiers.org mission when your people were contacted on the matter. “ And finally, "Wait, I'm sorry, this is about headlines NOW, isn't it?! Yeah, I forgot about the whole NEW BOOK to promote angle. "Sad, sad man you are."

In other news, the Drowning Pool "This Is For The Soldiers Tour and Campaign” has been extended through December. For each ticket sold on the "This is for the Soldiers Tour", Drowning Pool is donating one dollar to the IAVA and USO (.50˘ going to IAVA and .50˘ going to USO)

Drowning Pool is currently on a campaign in support of the Lane Evan Veterans Health and Benefits Improvement Act of 2007 to get passed in Congress. The Texas rockers visited Capital Hill on September 19th to take part in a special press conference that addressed better health care issues for the Veterans and to bring a 25,000 signed petition in support of the Lane Evans veterans Health and Improvement Act 2007.

"Enemy" is the new video off of Drowning Pool's new CD, Full Circle released August 7th on Eleven Seven Music. Drowning Pool singer Ryan McCombs recently spoke to KNAC.COM Correspondent Deb Rao for an upcoming feature insterview, coming to KNAC.COM soon. McCombs talks about how his departure from Soil was the inspiration behind the lyrics to "Enemy": "The experience that I had walking away from the situation in Soil definitely had a lot to do with my personal reasons from where the lyrics came from. I tried to write it in a way that anybody would fit their relationship when they tried to take a high road out of it and try not to sling any crap or anything and just try to walkway gracefully. At the end of the day, you are not allowed to. I tried to write it in a way, where anybody had been in a situation where there is a personal relationship. When I walked away from Soil, I cited family reasons for my sole reason for leaving. I didn't want to point any finger; I didn't want to talk about any of the hard feelings, or me having a hard time staying in that situation. I took the road that I took; I cited family reasons as my sole reason for leaving. But even in doing that, I knew I had my legs chopped off from underneath me, every turn I took by a couple members of the band. They took shots of my family and me on the Internet, and in written interviews for a long time. It was hard to keep my mouth shut, and it was for the rest of the band as well. But we did, we tried to take the high road away from the situation. But certain people, made it very hard to do that."

Stay tuned to KNAC.COM for the full interview.
