Sammy Hagar, with his band The Wabos, will be headlining The Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas on February 2nd. Tickets for $50 and $75 will go on sale on Saturday, January 12 at noon. This is definitely the party not to miss leading into Super Bowl Sunday.
Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali has scheduled the following autograph sessions at this year's NAMM convention (National Association of Music Merchants), running from January 17th to 20th at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California:
Following the success of last year's Live From NAMM, Dean Guitars' live webcast of the 2007 NAMM show, Dean is again giving guitar players worldwide a members-only look at NAMM with the second installment of the program. Dean fans will be able to go to DeanGuitars.com to view an array of rocks stars spending their day at the Dean booth. Cameras go live on Friday, January 18 at noon CST and will continue airing throughout the weekend. Dave Mustaine (MEGADETH), VINNIE MOORE (UFO), Leslie West (MOUNTAIN), Corey Beaulieu (TRIVIUM), Matt Heafy (Trivium) and Tom Maxwell (HELLYEAH) are all scheduled to appear at the 2008 event.
Firewind guitarist Gus G. will be making his second appearance at this year’s NAMM festival to promote his new ESP Signature and LTD model. Gus commented: “I can’t wait to get back to the highest profile music Expo of the world, the NAMM show! This year I'll be releasing a new ESP Signature and LTD model, so come by the ESP booth to hang out and check my new guitar out. I will also be doing a signing session and a special performance at the Randall Amplifiers booth, with whom I recently teamed up and am proudly endorsing their killer T2 amp model.”
10th Street Entertainment in conjunction with The T.J. Martell Foundation raised $13,100 by auctioning off a Day in the Studio experience on eBay with Eleven Seven Music/Atlantic Recording artists Buckcherry. Proceeds will go to Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS Research. The auction ran for one week with over 1,000 views and 35 bids.
The lucky winner, Denver Schutz from Northern California, and a guest will spend the day with Buckcherry in the studio as they record the follow up to their current release 15 and will also receive round-trip coach airfare courtesy of Continental Airlines from any major U.S. city, two nights accommodations from a leading Four Star Hollywood or Beverly Hills hotel, and two days use of a Mercedes Benz C300 courtesy of Midway Car Rental. As a memento to remember this experience, the band will also present the winning bidder with a brand-new autographed guitar.
Said Josh Todd of Buckcherry, “Anytime you have the opportunity to do something really great to help out other people, you should do it. We’re honored to be a part of this and give to charity.”
