Vocalist Doogie White and Yngwie Malmsteen have decided to part company after six and a half years together. Doogie joined Malmsteen's band in September 2001 and recorded two albums with the legendary Swedish guitarist: Attack (2002) and Unleash the Fury (2005).
Vicious Rumors, who recently announced Ronnie Stixx as their new lead singer, have issued the following tour update: "Vicious Rumors has just added these four killer shows. First a headline date at the Kennel Club in Sacramento on March 22 and then a double header on March 29. VR joins Testament, Sadus and Laaz Rockit for a crushing Bay Area show and line up. Then later that night VR will headline the Britannia Arms in Cupertino. Then back with Testament on March 30. Don't miss the first shows with the killer new line up. The VR ball picks up speed with more dates coming soon."
7Bros. Records in conjunction with Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group are set to release Sevendust’s seventh studio release titled, Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow. Produced by Sean Groove, Morgan Rose & John Connolly in Atlanta, GA at Tree Sounds Studios. Hope & Sorrow will be their second release on the band’s wholly owned record label.
The DVD T.S.O.L. Early Years Live will hit stores in April. It compiles T.S.O.L. performances from both the Flipside and Target Video vaults, circa 1983. Featuring Jack Grisham (Vocals), Ron Emory (Guitar), Mike Roche (Bass), and Francis Gerald Barnes (Drums), you'll see footage of T.S.O.L. plowing through 14 anthems such as "Superficial Love," "Abolish Government/Silent Majority," "Darker My Love," "Code Blue" and more.
Stone Temple Pilots will headline Rock on the Range 2008. According to the press release, the festival is "literally packed with performances by the biggest names in rock music today including: Kid Rock, 3 Doors Down, Disturbed, Staind, Papa Roach, Seether, Serj Tankian, Flyleaf, Shinedown, Killswitch Engage, Finger Eleven, Alter Bridge, Filter, Theory of a Dead Man, Sevendust, Default, 10 Years, Bobaflex, Red, Airbourne, Black Tide, Revelation Theory, Ashes Divide, Drive A and more.
Kiss' Gene Simmons has revealed: (I) "Have just agreed to do a Japanese Movie (cannot release title or what it's about just yet). Will stop off in Japan after our KISS New Zealand Stadium Show and afterwards, get ready for the KISS European Tour." Kiss will wear their Destroyer costumes for the upcoming Kiss Alive/35 World Tour.
