Ace Frehley said he plans to have his new solo album entitled Pain In The Neck ready for a spring release but is still putting the finishing touches on it, including some scheduled six-string contributions from his pal Slash. Though most of the tunes were written in the past several years, Frehley says he also looked to his own past for guidance. ''I've been listening to my first solo album with Kiss, because everybody says that's their favorite record. I was trying to figure out what made it so special, so I'm trying to incorporate a lot of what that record had for this new CD. It has a lot of different aspects and shows different musical sides of me and it's something I'm trying to recapture. I don't know if I can do it but I'm gonna take a shot at it.''

In appreciation for our fans old and new over the past two plus decades we have decided to accept artwork for the new cover from those who know us best.....our Congregation! If we accept your artwork and use it we will include your name on the CD. The working title of the new release is This Present Wasteland. So use your imagination. We will desplay some of the artwork we get on the Metal Church myspace page for everyone to see. We know there are many talented fans out there and we would love to see one of you get the cover. You can submit your artwork to This_Present_Wasteland @yahoo.com. This new release is sounding incredable and we are all very excited for you to hear it. Until then good luck and Metal Horns to you."

Music has been used in American military prisons and on bases to induce sleep deprivation, "prolong capture shock," disorient detainees during interrogations—and also drown out screams. Based on a leaked interrogation log, news reports, and the accounts of soldiers and detainees, here are some of the songs that guards and interrogators chose. MotherJones.com has compiled the "torture playlist", which includes the following: Deicide "Fuck Your God", Dope "Die Mother Fucker Die", and the Meow Mix commercial.
