Sonic Syndicate "Burn This City" - Video

Check out "Burn This City," the new single from Swedish modern metallers Sonic Syndicate.
The group recently shot a video for the track with director Patric Ullaeus (DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL) of Revolver Film Company.
"Burn This City" marks the recording debut of SONIC SYNDICATE's latest addition, 23-year-old British singer Nathan James Biggs (formerly of THE HOLLOW EARTH THEORY).
The song is one of two tracks that were recently recorded at Abyss studios in Parlby, outside Ludvika, Sweden.
A new SONIC SYNDICATE album is tentatively due in April/May 2010.
magor - 11/8/2009 6:46:35 AM Well, I gave the clip a chance waiting for that great solo that might save the Grindcore rhythms and progressions fused with the (C)rapper posturing, but the Emo screaming continuously through the first half became too annoying. Of course your average rebellious 13 year old will be pleased at reading this.
magor - 11/8/2009 6:35:39 AM Just looking at the shot of the band, Mummyman (your assessment here from a marketing standpoint is dead on, but I would add: and they're all exuding youthful energy, even if those wide open mouth screams have been around for eons as a way for metalheads to express their "Metalness". Kind of reminds me of the
KNAC callers yelling to get tickets to shows, oh and the burning down the road like a big dog in heat commercial. Can't forget that one. Ha, ha. From a marketing standpoint, that corporate Metal cheese you mention, I'll bet included youth as a prerequisite here, not that I begrudge them. All power to these kids, but so far no band the industry has tried promoting based on primarily these qualities has ever really lasted anyway, because in Metal quality musicianship has always been the ultimate factor in deciding longevity. Who knows maybe these guys will develop. They look to me like they're either teens or barely into their 20's.

The video lOOks like they stole a scene from "Escape From L.A." or "I Am Legend", or even "War Of The Worlds", etc. Anyways, it's o.k., but it's NOT METAL!!!! The gothshits will like it, though.

And don't get me started on these douches all wearing overpriced Affliction or Christina Agulara Ed Whoeverthfuck shirts.
