I flew from New Orleans to see Y&T in Hollywood & at the Galaxy Theatre. It was worth every penny.

Having lived in Orange County in early 90's I had no trouble getting around so it was easy to see 2 shows so far apart. The last time I saw them was on the farewell tour but they've gotten better if that's at all possible. Y&T is the most underrated rock band but they have awesome fans. The Hollywood show was great but I think the Galaxy was better.

It had that 80's concert feel in a cool club with screaming fans who knew all the songs [like me] & Meniketti was scorching on the guitar as always. I was most impressed [as was my friend who is not really a fan] that he still has an incredible voice! Most guys lose something but he has not! The band was smoking hot & Kennemore was great on the song 'Squeeze' which is his signature song.

I'm so glad my favorite bands like Y&T, UFO, KISS, Cheap Trick etc...are still around. It means rock n roll can live longer!

Yeah... I could believe that Scrap, if not for the fact that I saw the post after the fact. I just think it funny how someone can post something about ass raping someones' Grandmother, but God forbid, you post something about how annoying that Promo they have going is.

red sometimes its a miss from your server i find that happens when i post from my laptop using a wireless connection doesnt always transmit....gb i know deb is young but at least she tries my first reviews sucked too back in the day.

reddog - 11/4/2009 6:44:49 PM
It's cool GB. Myself... I very rarely even read reviews and that kind of shit. I could care less what somebody has to say about... well, anything. I like to make up my own mind.

i've made my share of "postings" in my time reddog, not on knac thou, alot of " offical press releases" for bands over the years, a few " reviews" of concerts and new releases for other publications ( when people used to actually read such things in magazines or newspapers) i'm no writer by any strech, nor do i claim to be, however at least i am somewhat familier with the subject i was writing about ( music) unlike miss rao

reddog - 11/2/2009 3:47:13 PM
Well, Scrapy has the "Portfolio" to support his criticism of people's reviews... where is yours GB??? You ever post anything??? What does your "Portfolio" hold???

goin-blind - 11/1/2009 4:55:20 PM
scrap..sorry dude, deb rao is a lost cause, i mean cmon now

reddog - 11/1/2009 7:21:46 AM
What's really amazing about this site is all the disappearing acts that go on... I swear I posted something about a certain Promo being rather annoying and I can't seem to find it anywhere. Amazing.

reddog - 11/1/2009 7:17:38 AM
LOL, you got that right.

scrapmetal - 11/1/2009 5:12:44 AM
hey isnt the whole point of this site about living in the past or trying to recreate it?Its called middle age

reddog - 10/31/2009 9:05:20 AM
My portfolio comment wasn't meant just for you guys... it's an "In General" thing.

scrapmetal - 10/30/2009 5:38:37 PM
by portfolio im not bragging i just have piles of magazines i contributed to thats all im just trying to justify my criticism of this review that phil got all pissy over.Hey if you read my posts 90% of the time i compliment a decent interview or review i even tried to encourage deb rao forever before i joined the wolf pack that loved to down her then i stopped as i felt bad.I loved the biz too but once I had kids & my company took off i couldnt burn the candle at both ends for low pay, even though the free merch, tix & music was unbelievable before downloading took off & tours got scarce

I used to put my bands in the "Local Band" section of "Bam" magazine out in LA. I would get calls all the time from guys saying that they were putting together Tours across the country and some of them did tours of Canada. Never took one up on it though. I was never that serious about "Making it". I was just into it for the partying and the girls... of which there was plenty of.

reddog - 10/29/2009 4:01:29 PM
So... it is "Glory Days" than??? That's cool and much respect to you GB for manning up like that. I think those days took a toll on most of us... quite a few years that are a little hazy to me. It does cracks me up though... when I hear somebody say "Portfolio"... like some how it's suppose to make it sound more impressive. I was never "In the business", but, I've got a few years of being around the business under my belt. Played a few shows with some big named bands... met some big named people. Had a great time also... than I met my wife and I've been happily married for the last 21 years.
