Velvet Revolver and ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist, Slash has issued the following update:
"Driving around listening to the analog mixes of my solo record, I gotta say it sounds awesome. The whole self titled record was recorded analog. It will be released March/April - tour starts around then too. It will be released in all formats including vinyl."
The album will be released in Europe via Roadrunner Records. A release date for other territories will be announced soon.
As previously reported, the first single from Slash's upcoming solo album will feature Ozzy Osbourne on vocals. Other guests who will appear on Slash include Alice Cooper, Lemmy Kilmister, former Guns N' Roses men Duff McKagan, Steven Adler and Izzy Stradlin, Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Iggy Pop, Kid Rock, Chris Cornell, Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge), Fergie (Black Eyed Peas), Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine and Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale.
killthepuppets - 12/10/2009 4:51:29 PM is it really necessary to have these guys reunite??? i for one hope they dont....guns n roses doesnt work with a bunch of wealthy ex junkies approaching 50....the hunger, drive and recklessness that made that BAND what they were (along with izzy) is LONG GONE!! its OVER

Glam_Chowder - 12/8/2009 10:14:43 AM GnR could reunite and no doubt sell out arenas in minutes. But new music? 2010 is a long way from 1986...would love to hear it, though.
motleyfraeks - 12/8/2009 9:02:08 AM All of the Crue were married to each other literally and figuratively.
reddog - 12/7/2009 8:40:10 PM And 5 different guys just put out a number one record... so anything can happen.
goin-blind - 12/7/2009 7:15:51 PM as jon bon jovi said after bon jovi's "new jersey" tour.." 5 different guys took 5 different cabs to 5 different planes to 5 different parts of the country we didn't want to see each other, speak to each other or talk to each other" slash & axl werent friends, they weren't partners and they sure as hell weren't married...slash ( and the rest of gnr as it turns out) were employees of axl, and thats how axl looked at it, just like gnr today, thay are all employees of axl's
Kidkel69 - 12/7/2009 1:34:22 PM I can't keep my mouth shut any longer on the demise of W.Axl Rose and Slash's relationship. Some of you say , you are sick and tired of hearing about it. If that is the case, I'm sorry . Try to look at the situation with your mind's eye.One time Keith Richards, said in an interview, "Mick and I are married, and some days we want nothing more then a divorce. Being business partners and brothers, takes hard work."
Slash and Axl were brothers under the skin. Drugs and Fame came between them and reality. The reality is, if Axl died, Slash would be at his funeral. Vice versa W.Axl Rose would be at Slash's funeral. The point of the subject is..... it is time for W.Axl Rose and Slash to reconcile their differences, begin to share their combined musical gifts, and share the product with the world. All will not be right until the charisma of W.Axl Rose and Slash come together once again.

goin-blind - 12/6/2009 6:54:01 PM gnr is just yet another tale of a band with a dream but no plan, they started out as gutter rats ( supposdly) and made it to the top of the mountian, but like so many bands before or with them when they got to the top all they could do is wonder " now what"? for like so many bands they had no idea what to do when they got there, they had no idea how to handle themselves or thier busniess. hence all the personal changes ( gilby clarke for izzy stradlin, matt sorum for steven adler, dizzy reed) it's a sad, sad story that is repeated all the time in rock music...and now if you notice EVERYBODY is trying to change thier "image" from the gnr days, you got them all dressing better and speaking better and handling themselves better, then they did when they were one of the baddest bands in the world, it's now sipping sparkling water instead of guzzling jack
