Age of Evil to Support Upcoming First-Ever U.S. Shows by Supergroup Hail! By Newsferatu, Writer Tuesday, January 5, 2010 @ 5:18 AM
The fast-rising heavy metal band, Age of Evil, will be supporting the
first-ever U.S. shows for Hail - which is comprised of such renowned
names as Tim “Ripper” Owens (singer, Judas Priest), Andreas Kisser
(guitarist, Sepultura), Dave Ellefson (bass, F5), and Mike Portnoy
(drums, Dream Theater). The shows will take place at B.B. Kings in New
York City on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, and at Showcase Live in
Foxborough, MA (just outside Boston) on Wednesday, January 27, 2010.
“We will tear your faces off,” declares AOE guitarist Jordan Ziff about the
group’s kick-ass live show. “And if not, it’s a money back guarantee.
Just kidding. But we give 150% every night we play. We are trying to
rejuvenate good music into the metal scene and a certain rawness that
everyone has seemed to have lost. You need to put your soul into your
music.”
The Scottsdale, Arizona-based Age of Evil, which in addition to Ziff, is
comprised of singer/rhythm guitarist Jeremy Goldberg, bassist Jacob
Goldberg, and drummer Garrett Ziff, is riding high on wide spread
acclaim for their recent release, the six-track EP, ‘Get Dead.’ "Thanks
to young Arizona rockers Age of Evil, the sounds of vintage metal are
alive and well as we kick off the second decade of the 21st Century,"
raves Andy Secher, Editor for Hit Parader Magazine. And if that wasn’t
enough acclaim, "Metal" Tim Henderson from BraveWords.com adds,
"Youth Gone Wild! These school-yard bruisers are turning heads and
taking vintage thrash to a new era of combat.”Additionally, Revolver
Magazine picked Age of Evil as a 'Band to Watch" in 2010, and ‘Get
Dead’ was recently deemed a “New & Noteworthy Release” for four
weeks straight on iTunes. Quickly building up a solid following thanks
to shows throughout the world - including European dates this past
summer with the likes of Jon Oliva’s Pain, Soulfly, Arch Enemy, and
Manowar - the upcoming dates with Hail! will truly be a headbanger’s
delight. Judging from their rapid ascension, catch these young lads in
an intimate setting while you still can!
