A memorial concert in memory of JON OLIVA'S PAIN guitarist Matt LaPorte will be held on Saturday, July 23rd 2011 at Ferg's.
Confirmed acts include JERRY OUTLAW & FRIENDS, THE FLORIDA METAL ALL Stars (featuring SAVATAGE vocalists Jon Oliva and Zak Stevens) and THE HUBBTOMES.
Ferg's is located at 1320 Central Ave in St. Petersburg, FL. The doors will open at 7:00pm. The cost will be a $10 minimum donation, with the proceeds going to the Matt LaPort Scholarship Fund.
LaPorte passed away suddenly on April 20, 2011.
Jon Oliva's Pain remarked recently: "Thank you all for the love and support. We will treat the future of JOP as we always have. Dedicated to the music and producing the best we possibly can. That is what Matt always brought to the JOP table. We will continue in that honor and to all those we have lost."
