The Who have announced they will organize a week of benefit shows at London's Royal Albert Hall extending February 5th through 9th for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Performers scheduled to appear throughout the week include appearances by two Led Zeppelin members, though no onstage together. Frontman Robert Plant will perform with his outfit the Strange Sensations, while guitarist Jimmy Page will play a set with fellow axeslinger Gary Moore Oasis and Paul Weller will also perform.
The benefit concerts were founded by Who frontman Roger Daltrey and Teenage Cancer Trust co-chairman Dr. Adrian Whiteson and finance cancer treatment centers throughout the U.K. Last year's event featured Oasis’ Noel Gallagher and Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and raised $1.4 million.
