CARMINE APPICE ASKS TO PLAY IT FOR ROD STEWART
PROPHETS OF ADDICTION are still riding high off of their most recently released album, Face the Music, earlier this year through F-Bomb Records. With leading Australian outlet The Rockpit calling the album, “This is the band’s greatest moment to date. Wonderful,” and Sleaze Roxx exclaimed, “… you will find this fine selection of songs from the underbelly of life, absolutely essential,” while French outlet Veglam states, “The album ends with “Take Me To Your Leader”, a heavy rock’n’roll songs asking “Where are the dreamers? Where are the stars?” Well, some of them probably made this album!” Face the Music has become the most well received album from PROPHETS OF ADDICTION so far. The band’s mainman, Lesli Sanders, states, “We put a lot of work into this recording, finding the right players to capture the elusive “feel”, as always I poured my heart out in the lyrics, and the feedback has been amazing.”

The band is set to release the fourth single from Face the Music; an adrenaline fueled, punked up version of the Rod Stewart classic, “Maggie May,” a song that Rough Edge referred to as a highlight of the album.. An opinion shared by one time Rod Stewart drum legend Carmine Appice, who, upon hearing the Prophets take on the track, asked, “would you mind if I send this to Rod?”
Face the Music, PROPHETS OF ADDICTION’s debut for F-Bomb Records was recorded between 2022 and 2023 in Seattle, WA and Las Vegas, NV and once again saw Phil Soussan handling the mix and this time it also found him in the producer’s chair and mastering the album. Drummer Wayne Stokely says of the album, “We wanted to make a classic 70’s style rock n’ roll album without losing our raw and punky vibe, but with a modern 2024 production. There’s not a lot of records out there like this one, so I think we achieved our goal. The songs speak for themselves,” while Sanders adds “this is the record I have been wanting to record for years. The feel is right, the musicianship is right, the songs are right and now the time is right for you all to give us your thoughts.”
The new year looks to be an exciting year for the Prophets as the band will be featured in a support slot at UK’s 2026 Hard Rock Hell Sleaze festival and a UK tour will accompany that appearance with dates surrounding the show. Sanders also has plans to reissue older PROPHETS OF ADDICTION albums and never-before-heard music on digital platforms as well as CD and vinyl. “There’s so much more music in me it’s out of control and I’m not getting any younger. Gotta get this music out there while I still can!”
