Legendary heavy metal vocalist Doro Pesch, iconic frontwoman of Warlock and globally recognized as The Queen of Metal, has announced an exclusive VIP special event to take place on March 21 at Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey. The performance begins at 8:00 PM, with doors opening at 7:00 PM.
This special event celebrates the anniversary of Warlock’s True as Steel — Doro Pesch’s first American record release, originally issued in the United States in 1986. The album coincided with Doro’s first-ever promotional tour of America, which began in New York, marking her initial introduction to U.S. audiences during the height of the 1980s heavy metal movement.
That first American experience proved life-changing. Doro immediately fell deeply in love with America, its culture, and the overwhelming passion of U.S. metal fans. The excitement and inspiration from that tour directly led to the creation of Warlock’s legendary follow-up album, Triumph and Agony — a landmark release that propelled the band to international acclaim.
Released in 1987, Triumph and Agony featured the now-iconic anthem “All We Are,” which became a massive worldwide hit and achieved especially strong success in the United States. The song remains one of the most celebrated sing-along anthems in heavy metal history and a defining moment in Doro Pesch’s career, solidifying her status as a global metal icon.
The evening at Dingbatz will feature a rare, up-close, full-band acoustic performance, offering fans an intimate and powerful reinterpretation of classic Warlock material and fan favorites from this pivotal era as well as new material.
