EVE TO ADAM Locked And Loaded
MRI
I have waited with anticipation for this one to release. I had the chance to see this band twice live so far and I really wanted a CD but I had to wait. Well, my wait is over and so is yours. EVE TO ADAM’s new album, Locked And Loaded is without a doubt one of the best guitar driven anthem style records of the year. Let's dive into this release further.
The first track is “Locked and Loaded“ and it sounds like something you can get a lap dance to and I don’t mean that as an insult. The buzz coming from the guitars rings in your ears and the vocals wrap around the melody like a snake ready to strike. This is one great song.
On the slower side, and a more serious side is “Immortal“. The line that you will never forget me really touches home.
To get the blood pumping is the really quick paced “Bender“. I like the line, “Do you know there is nothing like the first time?“. Is really is just a great hard rock song.
The next track I had the chance to hear quite a few times as this was a charting single is “Straightjacket Super Model“. I think we all dated that super hot but crazy girl or guy at one time. This song really hit home with me for the last few months.
The song “Fortune Teller“ starts off in a classic heavy metal style guitar but moves into a beautiful almost hard rock love song. Can rock stars have feelings? Well, according to this whole CD the answer is yes!
A little bit different is “What Would You Kill“. I can't wait to see this song performed live in front a huge festival crowd.
The opening drums of “With The Truth“ really punctuate the songs and are expressive. The vocals of singer Taki Sassaris are really versatile on this record. It’s a nice change with modern music to hear singers treat their voice as an instrument. Two thumbs up Taki!
“Lets Burn“ is up next and a quick paced song, something to get the blood rolling.
The most unique song on Locked and Loaded is probably “Crime Scene“. It will remind you of an early nineties super hit.
“Shut Out The World“ is a beautiful acoustic song in the beginning then gradually gets a tad bit harder with deep lyrics.
Last but not least is “Forgive“, which speeds up and says the line “I Wonder If People Really Change“, then it gets super hard during the bridge, damn great job guys.
