SILENT FORCE Rising From The Ashes
AFM Records
The new release from SILENT FORCE called Rising From Ashes is literally music to my ears. With heavy riffs, great melodies, powerful production and a lot of passion I could stop here with my review and just recommend that you get the album and see for yourself but that would be too easy. Rising From Ashes is album number five in the band's history. Rising From Ashes is more than just a name for an album. After six years without the band some people thought the band didn’t even exist anymore. But now, after some turbulent years, SILENT FORCE is back – and they are strong and heavy.
The album contains 10 songs, each of them a killer, none of them a filler. My favorites are the opener “Caught in Their Wicked Game". This song is fast, heavy and a perfect choice for starting the CD. "Before You Run” is more mid tempo and it carries all of SILENT FORCE’s trademark sounds. It has a great melody, excellent guitars and keyboards which contribute to the totality of the song without becoming too dominant.
"Anytime, Anywhere" is a bit more of a relaxed song. Not a ballad but a bit catchier than maybe some others on the album. It gives you a breath of fresh air since it follows "Born to Be a Fighter", which is pure energy.
Rising From Ashes is a melodic metal album which I would recommend to those who enjoy melodic metal.
