“I see this album as the perfect mix of styles”-Johnny Gioeli

HARDLINE’s debut album in 1992, Double Eclipse, solidified this band with a badass album that charted well for their first release. Every album they have put out since has been a domino effect of pleasing their fans. Never disappointing. After regrouping and adding new members the latest album release Human Nature in October 2016 proved to be a well blended cocktail of talent! The amazing vocals of Johnny Gioeli, Keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio, Josh Ramos on guitars and one of the oldest members, the gorgeous Anna Portalupi on bass and Francesco Jovino on Drums. This line up helped to revamp this band and produce one of the best albums thus far. Alessandro Del Vecchio - “We wanted a more in your face attitude than our softer albums.”

I couldn’t help but have the following thoughts while my ear buds were in and the world was shut out. All I had to focus on was Human Nature. A band that has perfected the real Rock sound. When I say rock sound I mean a comparison to the Rock era when bands such as BON JOVI, CINDERELLA and others in this brotherhood of rock ruled the airwaves. Each track on this album had a familiar sound, sounds some of us miss from our arena rock days. There are 11 tracks on this album and all are well written and executed. The guitar riffs, drum solos and vocals are truly first class and these musicians are a group that needs to do more of what they did for Human Nature's chart topping quality and what their fans wanted!

"Where Will We Go From Here" is the first track on the album and Johnny’s vocals are very Jon Bon Jovi-ish and the song hooks you. "Human Nature" the title track is very reminiscent of DAMN YANKEES! Trapped In Muddy Waters" has a very rock-bluesy sound. Ballads that we miss lately on rock albums are definitely not missed on this album. "Take You Home" is an awesome ballad. These tracks are just a portion of a collection of total badassery rock.

If you aren’t familiar with HARDLINE and want a wrap up of what they are like, the combination of BON JOVI, TOM KEIFER, TRIXTER and WHITE LION to name a few can somewhat give you a glimpse into HARDLINE. Human Nature is reflection of what awesome rock-n-roll is! You will be missing out if you don’t give it a listen!
