EDDIE VAN HALEN Receiving Treatment For Throat Cancer By Larry Petro, News Monkey Monday, October 14, 2019 @ 2:06 PM
According to multiple sources, including TMZ, guitar wizard and rock icon Eddie Van Halen has been diagnosed with throat cancer.
Evidently Van Halen has been traveling quietly between the U.S. and Germany for the past 5 years to get treatment.
The root cause of the cancer is unclear, even though Eddie was known to be a heavy smoker and developed tongue cancer, which led to doctors removing almost a 1/3 of his tongue back in 2000, though Van Halen believes that it may be due to his penchant for holding metal guitar picks in his mouth while onstage. Doctors have said that it 'could' be the cause.
