Achieving the kind of success CANNIBAL CORPSE has had seemed unimaginable when they first started out but over 30 years of torment and dedicated fans have pushed this Death Metal group into mainstream status, and that's in no way derogatory. Now upon their 15th release through Metal Blade Records they look to peel off some more skin with Violence Unimagined. Drummer and innovator of the "bomb-blast" drum technique, Paul Mazurkiewicz spoke with us regarding the new release, the always amazing artwork of Vincent Locke that accompanies their legacy, the official addition of Producer/Guitarist Erik Rutan into the band and of course a little insight on their appearance in the 1994 comedy Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. As drummers go, Mazurkiewicz is a definitive name and sickdrummer in the Death Metal movement that ranged from New York to Florida to all over the world and Violence Unimagined looks to become his most intense performance and with the addition of Rutan and his writing to the band will make this one of the most brutal releases in 2021.
