AMERICAN TERROR Drop HOUSE OF PAIN Cover Track Single For "Legend" By Larry Petro, News Monkey Friday, February 26, 2021 @ 1:54 PM
"I chose this song because I always loved HOUSE OF PAIN and hip hop” shares Cox, who also produced and mixed the track at the Lawrenceville, GA-based Black Paw Studios which he is a partner of with legendary producer Mike Clink (GUNS N’ ROSES, MEGADETH, METALLICA). “This song never got the credit it deserved. The subject matter still stands strong and relevant to everything going on in the world right now. The song tackles drug abuse and suicides, which given the current times, everyone is feeling the pain and struggle. We’ve lost too many talented people because of this and too many people in general.”
AMERICAN TERROR’s debut record Influencer was released last year by the EMP Label Group and has logged more than 250,000 Spotify streams which was led by singles “Judgement” and “She’s A B*tch”. Following its release, the band shared a genre-bending remix of “Judgement”—mastered by Glenn Schick (Lil Wayne, Future, Ludacris). The track features legendary rapper Sticky Fingaz, who is known for his group ONYX’s hit “Slam” as well as a guest appearance (“Remember Me”) on Eminem's classic The Marshall Mathers LP; he is also an award-winning ASCAP songwriter for his work with Travis Scott.
AMERICAN TERROR are currently tracking material for their sophomore release due later this year. Cox shares that they’ve “elevated the band to a new level and truly found their identity.” Stay tuned for further news on its release in the coming months.
