The legacy of the name Cavalera transcends decades since the late 80's and the Max-era of SEPULTURA who formed a style that combined Thrash Metal and Death Metal together created a unique sound. Many amazing albums came from this era and 2 of those were Beneath The Remains and Arise that reflected the change that Metal was developing into. Now 30 years later, Max and his brother Igorr and set to take these iconic albums on tour for not only the fans but for themselves to re-live the nostalgia from these highly influential albums.
To have the opportunity to speak with Max is one I hold in high regards. He took time to talk about the upcoming tour, what influenced the band at the time and what has kept Max going all these years. The 'Return Beneath Arise' tour is set to go starting in May.
