“Gone are the days of me forcing a tour, and promoters forking over just enough money for me to pull off tour expenses, et cetera, et cetera.”

Vocalist JEFF SCOTT SOTO has a Rock and Roll pedigree that dates back nearly 40 years and his solo projects are only a fraction of it. He’s almost always cited for his past work with YNGWIE MALMSTEEN’S RISING FORCE, TALISMAN, and AXEL RUDI PELL, but some of his past smaller projects are hidden Hard Rock gems. EYES, TAKARA, and SOUL SirkUS are just a couple that come to mind.
Currently Jeff is working with multiple projects such as SONS OF APOLLO, W.E.T., TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, and S.O.T.O., yet somehow he still has time to drop his 8th official solo album Complicated. I highly suggest a trip to Wikipedia for his discography, because I know you will find a plethora of material you’re going to love.
I had the chance to speak with JEFF SCOTT SOTO shortly before the release of Complicated.
Highlights include:
-Discussion of the new album
-Working with Alessandro Del Vecchio (EDGE OF FOREVER)
-Songwriting in double entendres
-Finding guitarist Fabrizio Sgattoni
Touring with Jason Bieler (SAIGON KICK)
Dealing with click-bait headlines
His involvement in Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp
Working on August Zadra’s (DENNIS DEYOUNG) debut
Updates on SONS OF APOLLO & W.E.T.
A new project with David Ellefson (Ex-MEGADETH)
And much, much more!
