It was just 3 years ago when UK Thrash Metal act XENTRIX released their comeback album Bury The Pain. 23 years had passed since the world last heard new material from the group. Riding the success of that album, XENTRIX is back with their 7th studio album, Seven Words. The album is available through Listenable Records, and was produced by Andy Sneap (JUDAS PRIEST). Ahead of the album’s release I had the chance to speak with guitarist KRISTIAN HAVARD, who has been with XENTRIX since their debut album Shattered Existence in 1989.
Highlights include:
-Discussion of Seven Words album
-Politically charged lyrics in a volatile world
-Andy Sneap returning to produce
-Album artwork
-Mascot resemblance to Jason Newstead??
-Signing with Listenable Records
-Headbangers Ball Tour through Europe with VIO-LENCE, WHIPLASH, and ARTILLERY
-Original singer Chris Astley filling in for current singer
-Discovering current singer Jay Walsh
-30th anniversary of Kin album
-Did label pressure the change in sound
-Is “Ghostbusters” cover still in set list?
-Ventures outside of music
-And much, much more
