When FORBIDDEN broke up in 2012, guitarist and founder Craig Locicero believed for all intents and purposes, that the Thrash Metal act would never give it another go. What a difference a decade makes. FORBIDDEN has announced its return with new members and old faces in tow.
Norman Skinner of Power Metal acts NIVIANE and SKINNER is now in the vocalist position, with ex-MACHINE HEAD drummer Chris Kontos on the skins. Longtime bassist Matt Camacho is on board, as well as guitarist Steve Smyth, who appeared on the last FORBIDDEN studio album Omega Wave (2010).
FORBIDDEN is gearing up for their upcoming performance at the 2023 Alcatraz Festival in Kortrijk, Belgium, August 11-13th. I had the chance to catch up with founder Craig Locicero to find out more about the rebirth of FORBIDDEN.
