If you were to give a Metalhead the power to assemble some of the best Metal bands, both established and up-and-coming, and put together a stellar Metal Festival, We'd all jump at the chance to do so. Coming up in September of 2023 is the first ever METAL INJECTION FEST set to take place in Orange County, California on September 16 and 17th. What has become and integral part of Metal Journalism, the site METAL INJECTION has entertained and provided a forum for Metal for 20 years. Founder Frank Godla saw fit to take the opportunity to pull some strings and some great names in Metal and bring them together for an amazing inaugural festival.
Frank took some time to talk with KNAC.COM about the upcoming show, what propelled him into covering all things Metal, the 'Slay At Home' series of isolated concerts from a couple of years ago, and several other good topics. One of the great names involved in this Festival is MUSICARES, an organization that helps shed light and bring help and awareness to Mental Health.
