Once upon a time, Giancarlo Floridia was the vocalist and guitarist for the Melodic Hard Rock act FAITHSEDGE. Featured among the ranks of the group were Tim Gaines (ex-STRYPER), Alex De Rosso (ex-DOKKEN), Matt Starr (MR.BIG, ACE FREHLEY), and Alessandro Del Vecchio (EDGE OF FOREVER, VANDEN PLAS).

FAITHSEDGE disbanded after four studio albums, but at its conclusion, a new opportunity arose for Giancarlo. Through his connection with Del Vecchio, a prominent producer, songwriter, and musician at Frontier Music, Floridia became a go-to songwriter for his heroes and influences that were signed to the label.

Giancarlo's contributions to Frontiers Music go way beyond songwriting, as he has written, directed, filmed, and produced most of their artist's music videos as of late. I had the chance to catch up with Giancarlo to find out more about his craft, as well as his experiences working with CLEANBREAK, SOLEDRIVER, LYNCH MOB, SWEET/LYNCH and others.

Floridia also discusses locking down his gig with Frontiers Music, what projects he is currently working on, his relationship with the late WARRANT frontman Jani Lane, whether we've really heard the last of LYNCH MOB, his own custom Mr. Scary guitars, his ties to professional wrestling, whether he faces more pressure at the label now that Del Vecchio has departed, and much, much more.
