Swedish rockers NESTOR self-released their debut album Kids In A Ghost Town in 2021 to much fanfare and praise. Dripping with '80s nostalgia, the album went on to receive a Swedish Hard Rock/Metal Grammis-Award nomination. The success achieved by these do-it-yourself-ers started reaching the eyes and ears of the record industry not long after.
Napalm Records re-released Kids In A Ghost Town in 2022 in various exclusive editions with bonus material. NESTOR soon found themselves booked on numerous high-profile tours that included opening slots for ALICE COOPER, DEF LEPPARD, and KISS. NESTOR even created their own festival, NESTOR FEST, in their hometown of Falkoping, which has sold out two years running.
On May 31, 2024, NESTOR released their sophomore album Teenage Rebel through Napalm Records. I had the chance to catch up with frontman Tobias Gustavsson to find out more about. Gustavsson also discusses how the band's music has evolved, the stories behind the singles, the success of their debut album, signing with Napalm Records, how they got UK Pop legend SAMANTHA FOX to appear on "Tomorrow", opening for fellow Swedes EUROPE, NESTOR FEST 2024 and future live performances, the band's formative years in the late '80s, and much, much more.
