If rock is dead, well Casandra Carson and her side project with George Lynch just revived it, because this album rocks! Garden of Earthly Delights is just that...A Delight to your ears!
If you have never heard of Casandra Carson this album will have you looking her up and wanting more! She has a full time band with her amazing father on guitar called PARALANDRA.
1st song "Stranger" is a kick in the corn flakes. It is a rocker and Jordan Cannata on drums and George Lynch on guitar are superb as usual. The next two songs take it a gear down, but it's a good gear. "Impatient" and "Closer To Heaven" are strong and just cool vibe songs. I like the lower tone of these songs, it's classic Lynch sounding. He and Casandra are a perfect fit. I always enjoy George Lynch and his collaborations, but this one is one of the best.
Next up is a super catchy tune called "Ring Me Around" and it's definitely one of my favs, which is hard to do because the whole album is killer.
The rest of the album is diverse like you should want out of an album. I really did not feel that any two songs were too much alike which is a win-win in my book. Every song offers something for everyone.
As I got down the song list I came across a ball buster called "Run For Your Life" and it's just a masterpiece! The vocals, guitar, drums and bass work are just cool! I bet it was as much fun to record as it is to listen to. I always think that Lynch could possibly be slowing down and then he comes out with something like this and proves me wrong.
This album is proof that Lynch brings out the best in everyone he works with. Casandra Carson has impressed me since the time I hung out with her on the KISS Kruise in the artist lounge. The girl has some serious pipes.
This project has been worth the wait. If you're looking for a new exciting sound, here it is. Casandra has arrived.
Get this album, it's a must have!
