BRITISH LION ANNOUNCE HISTORIC SHOW IN NASSAU

AHEAD OF THEIR APPEARANCE ON THE MONSTERS OF ROCK CRUISE 2026

BRITISH LION, led by Iron Maiden’s founder Steve Harris, return to the stage in 2026, with a very special show in a very special place. For the first time ever, they will be performing in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, a city that has a strong connection with Steve.

The island nation, sitting between Cuba and the state of Florida, with strong historic links to Britain dating back to the 17th Century, became a sovereign member of the Commonwealth in 1973, and in 1977 Island Records founder Chris Blackwell established the legendary Compass Point Studios in Nassau, where the likes of ACDC, Robert Palmer, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Talking Heads and more recorded over the years.

In 1983 Iron Maiden recorded their fourth album Piece Of Mind at Compass Point Studios, and continued to record there for both their Powerslave and Somewhere In Time albums in the 1980s. In 2010 they returned to Nassau and Compass Point Studios once again for the recording of The Final Frontier album.

However, despite the long history of world-famous albums being made in the Bahamas, very few international artists have performed shows there. In a historic first for rock and metal, Steve Harris will be taking to the stage for his debut live performance in the Bahamas, with BRITISH LION on April 8th at John Watling’s Distillery.

This show, supported by Tony Moore’s Awake, takes place just before BRITISH LION join the line-up for the five-day MONSTERS OF ROCK cruise in the Caribbean, which runs from April 12th – 17th.
