Today Death Dealer Union drops their rendition of Ghost’s “Square Hammer” – the first single from the upcoming album. DDU shares “We didn’t want to just cover ‘Square Hammer’… we wanted to take this iconic, inspiring track and make it our own, while introducing our new vocalist, Kay Bellows! “Square Hammer” will be featured on Corridor of Covers with Scotty Crynock on SiriusXM Liquid Metal Channel 40 for the Worldwide Women of Metal show Thursday April 2. The show airs at 6pm ET/3pm PT and will replay Friday at 2 pm ET/11 am PT, Saturday at 10 pm ET/7 pm PT, Sunday at 4 pm ET/1 pm PT, Tuesday at 10 am ET/7 am PT and will also be available on the SXM app for two weeks after Thursday’s debut airing.

Founded in 2019 by drummer CC McKenna and guitarist Doug Weiand, Death Dealer Union quickly raised the bar by carving out a distinctive voice within modern heavy music, blending industrial edge, power driven guitars and emotionally charged intensity. Since its inception, the band has continued to push forward, refining its sonic identity while expanding its artistic vision.

Now, with Kay Bellows stepping in as the new lead vocalist, Death Dealer Union is poised to reach new creative heights. Her vocal style introduces a new dimension to Death Dealer Union’s already immersive sonic landscape – balancing power, vulnerability, and raw intensity.

Produced by Max Morton, Death Dealer Union blend crushing modern metal tones with industrial textures, atmospheric layers, and dynamic arrangements. The production of Dark Sister elevates each track into an immersive experience, pushing beyond their established sound, delivering a more intense sonic experience while preserving the emotional core, that defines the band.

As Death Dealer Union step into this new era, they also take a moment to acknowledge the contributions that shaped their journey, declaring “We want to thank Lena Scissorhands for her time with the band and we extend our best to Hunter Havokk and Jonny Heinz as they move forward in their endeavors. They will always remain an integral part of the evolution of Death Dealer Union.”
